A PEI native, I've worked in the financial world since finishing school in 1979. My early career years were spent in a variety of entry level banking positions while I searched for something better.

In 1984 I left banking and went to work as an office manager for a large marketing company. I thought I'd left banking for good, but after leaving the work world for a few years to attend to 'family matters', I returned to banking. Leslie had persuaded me to join her as a lender servicing the broker industry. It didn’t take long before I was again hooked on finance!

I'd found something that combined the fun of marketing and the business of the financial world, and I excelled at it!

Later, I continued on from the lending side and worked as a mortgage rep for two major banks before returning to the mortgage brokering that I love best. Working in the bank environment gave me an appreciation of what a reputable mortgage broker can offer a client - but being limited to only one institution’s products proved to be frustrating.

Once again, with the persuasion of Leslie, I set out to help create Summit Mortgage Services Inc., a company that is founded and run on principles we both hold dear: "give clients a strategy, not just a mortgage" and, "always make sure the client gets a mortgage that is in their best interest, and not just the bank's".

Over the years, I have built a strong reputation as a reliable and creative mortgage specialist and I'm now one of the most recognizable names in mortgages in the Eastern Ontario Region.
